An important conference took place in London during the week-end of March – April 2025. The Contemporary Antisemitism London 2025 was organized by The London Center for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism. They describe their mission as follows:
“The London Centre for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism works to improve our understanding of antisemitism. It is a creative and energetic hub of thinking and research from diverse disciplines. The Centre maps and describes antisemitism, even where it is angrily denied by much academic orthodoxy. We recognise and challenge antisemitic thinking and we critique the ideas and claims that are based upon it. We point towards alternative, rational and democratic ways of understanding the world.”
In the conference antisemitism was looked into using different models and perspectives. Researchers, activists and scholars came to present from all over the world. In her presentation, Dr. Kokkonen talked about the challenges of teaching about antisemitism to Christian audiences in the post – October 7th world.
